Businesses 'outsource to survive' during
recession

Many businesses are going to begin "outsourcing to survive" during 2009, a group of industry experts have claimed.
In the opinion of Morrison and Foerster's Global Sourcing Group, some firms can use outsourcing as a way to cut short-term costs and it has been a popular solution in previous economic downturns, CBR reports.
However, the service is adapting with the times and new risk and liability provisions are now often being incorporated in contracts between a business and their outsourcing supplier in respect of data loss and the breaching of any security obligations.

For the outsourcing companies themselves, having a large portfolio of clients and maintaining good relationships are the best ways to weather the recession and emerge from the other side in a positive position.
